SLEIGH BELLS ring...

Are you listening? Sometimes I do, and I'm relaxed and calm like the other night while writing Christmas cards and enjoying my Charlie Brown Christmas CD. I could've sworn we had a fire going. And then just last night while cooking in an undone kitchen with the fridge taking up a lot of space by the island, I turn into a nutcase who needs an attitude adjustment.

So the moral of the story is, I'm going to be a very merry person from here on out. Eric will be merry too but sometimes on wheels while I'll keep my feet never more than a few inches from the ground. Eric and I are coordinated in different ways, that's all:

Eric's got some pics to post of his new speed skates with huge, cartoonish wheels. His old wheels are much smaller in comparison - wheel technology has vastly improved since his skating days in high school. He'll get to test them out tomorrow night, but so far he's cradled one of the new skates while watching TV and got his finger stuck while testing out the wheel speed. His work friend and wife who also skate have been trying to convince me to give it a try. I've tried to convince them that Eric and I don't need to share hobbies. I don't try to make Eric learn the piano to become my duet partner. Luckily Eric understands this. He's seen me fall down our stairs and knows how uncoordinated I am on my own feet. And I've heard him try to sing and play a few notes which ends after I plug my ears and tell him to stop.

So that means Eric will go to skate practice tomorrow night, and I'll go to jazzercise where I can do exercise moves like the big dork that I am but also keep my tailbone in tact.
